Disney Cruise

I've always dreamed of doing a family Disney Cruise, and we finally made it happen! We went with the Cragun and Thomas families and had the time of our lives. I'm not sure I've ever enjoyed a family vacation so much. We went out of San Diego and had 5 nights on the ship. Our ports were Cabo (cool) and Ensenada (not as cool). The kids already want to go again--and so do I.

Cutest little flyer! We made the mistake of talking about the cruise too early and he didn't understand it was still weeks away. He asked over and over if it was time to go. So he was very excited when the time actually came! He was excited about wearing his "cruise shoes" (tevas) and meeting Mickey. We potty trained him just in time so he could go to the Kids Club. He only had a couple accidents there, and the kids club workers only detected one of them. We'll call it a win!

San Diego Airport shot

We had half of a day to spend in San Diego so we headed to Balboa Park. There was an organ concert going on.

We spent a bunch of time in the international houses in Balboa Park. So fun to see things and try foods from so many countries.

We met up with my mission companion and good friend Emily Wassink and her son Miles. Miles and Violet hit it off and were great buddies.

We ate dinner in Balboa Park to finish off the night. Not pictured is the Uber ride home where Davis pooped his pants.

In line to board the cruise!

Davis's face when he first saw Mickey. Pure magic.

The set sail party!

Davis and Cooper got into the soft serve and pizza immediately.

Kasee was so fun and brought fun things to decorate doors and give out pixie dust gifts. The kids had fun finding rubber ducks all over the ship.

Mickey Bars at dinner were always a hit.

My cutest matching girl! She wanted matching swimsuits for Christmas.

Our waiter made Cameron look like Jack Sparrow.

Dolled up for formal night!

More matching!

Experiencing the silent dance party.

We had two rooms! This one was shared by me, Cameron, and Davis. The other room had the other 3 kids.

The 3 amigos!

The matching shirts we surprised the boys with! They have their wives faces on them. They got the best comments allll day. They're going to keep these shirts and wear them forever on every trip together.

Andy loved the cruise! He loved having the freedom to roam the boat and loved his independence. He started every morning by going to get hot chocolate. I think he probably set records for consumption of pizza, ice cream, and hot chocolate. He loved going to the pre-teen club with Charlie.

We spent our time in Cabo playing on the beach after taking a water taxi. The kids had a blast. And I got a massage on the beach. Win, win. Cameron really hated how people were trying to sell us things constantly. But still a great excursion overall.

Charlie buried Andy!

Max pretended he didn't like meeting characters but he kind of liked it. He got into getting autographs.

Hot chocolate and ice cream for Violet and Avery!

Ready for pirate night!

Our best pirate faces.

The cutest little pirate with his nightly chocolate milk.

Davis got very little sleep this trip and it showed. :)

Cameron's lovely outfit that I forced him to wear.

Cute shot of Cameron and Davis loving the pirate party.

Cutest girls loving the pirate party.

The kids absolutely loved the buffet. It was cute seeing them at their own tables together.

Moana!

Tianna! We got to see her again when she was singing at her restaurant.

These three beauties got to go to the Bibbiti-Bobbiti-Boutique!

Violet loved every minute of it.

Instead of picking out a princess dress while we were there, Violet opted to pick out this special dress to wear before we left.

Learning to make towel animals with Avery.

Lots of time spent in the very small hot tubs.

It got a little chilly most days.

My favorite all-time picture of Lindsey.

This picture about sums up our time in Ensenada. We got tricked into taking a bus into the middle of town, and it was pretty lame and sketchy. The kids really didn't like it and kept saying they didn't know why anyone ever went to Mexico ha ha. We got back on the ship pretty quick.

Watching a movie while eating ice cream and swimming is basically heaven when you're 6.

More matching! Gotta live it up while she still wants to.

One of our favorite dinners. We all got to draw our own little animation and it came together in a movie! It didn't work while we were there for dinner, so we had to come back and got a private showing!

A very fun final afternoon/evening playing basketball--Andy's idea! He got the group to come together and play Thunder. Eventually it just turned into a game and the old guys (Cameron, Blakely, Jason) played against Andy and a bunch of other kids we didn't know.
