Davis at age 3

  •  Davis is our bundle of energy, excitement, craziness, and joy! He continues to keep us on our toes. If we don't know where he is, we're in real trouble. He's making less crazy messes now than he was the first half of the year, but he was a real force to be reckoned with. He gets very excited about everything and makes the cutest facial expressions. His face gets really big when he's excited and he makes an O with his mouth. Right now he's very excited for Christmas and loves decorations and lights. He always says that the lights are "beautiful" and really needs us to see everything he sees.
  • Davis started school in the fall and it's been a good thing for everyone! He goes to two schools--Miss Wendy School on T/Th mornings and Miss Ariel School (Ridgeline) on W/F mornings. When he started I wasn't sure he was really ready and that they might kick him out, but he's adapted beautifully. And Miss Ariel, Mindy, Val all tell me he's their favorite. He's very sweet and lovable.
  • He has a very strong personality and a very strong will. He's got quite the temper and likes to throw and hit when he's mad. We've tried to teach him to stomp when he's mad and it's very cute when he stomps and says, "Stomp, stomp, I'm mad."
  • His best friends are the big kids in our circle--Addie, Owen, Jack, Tallon, etc. (Especially Addie and Owen.) He thinks he's one of the gang. If I come up when he's hanging out with his friends he tells me to "go away mom and go back inside."
  • He learned to ride his scooter this year and is very cute zipping around the circle.
  • He loves to read books and loves reading a book with us before his nap and his bedtime. He loves "Monster in the Woods" and "No Elephants." His favorite books are the big kid books like "Guinness Book of Records" books and loves just looking at all the pictures and talking about them.
  • He still naps 3 hours every afternoon! I'm hoping this continues as long as possible. He has a certain arrangment with his blankets he wants: he wants to use his gray blanket as a pillow and wants us to spread out his dinosaur blanket over his whole body. He usually makes me re-do it at least once to make sure I get it right.
  • He loves to watch shows. His favorites are "Coconelon" and "Baby Bheem."
  • His favorite foods are tricky. He doesn't really like to eat meals. He mostly likes to scavenge and make snacks. He's very independent and will go and try to pour himself a cup of chocolate milk or a bowl of cereal. He loves G2G bars and yogurt. He gets very excited about having a waffle every morning for breakfast.
  • He loves going to the gym daycare with me. He used to hit kids a lot the first half of the year and often got reports filed on him at the gym (whatever that means ha ha), but thankfully has outgrown that really only hits me and Violet at this point.
  • Violet and Davis are bffs. She is so sweet to him and loves to teach and take care of him. He loves her so much and always wants to know where she is and be with her. He has a weird way of showing his love and still loves to beat her up too. We're hoping he outgrows this soon.
  • Davis loves to do puzzles, color, do play-dough, etc.
  • He's at the stage where he wants to help me with everything. He loves to help me cook. He loves to help me empty the dishwasher. He always wants a job and is pretty good at doing whatever job I show him.
  • We started growing his hair out earlier this year and were surprised to realize he actually has pretty wavy almost curly hair. We love it long and think it's the cutest thing ever.
The cutest little bffs love to ride in Violet's car.

I'm obsessed with him in these overalls.

Davis's love for Abby runs deep.

Davis and Ford are turning into cute little buddies.

Another adorable car shot.

Our messy boy. Peanut butter everywhere.

I love this one of him. Isn't he the cutest thing ever?

Can't handle him and his cuteness.

His hair got long and curly this summer.

Davis LOVES the farm.

First day of Miss Wendy school!

Davis started playing with normal toys like play-doh this year! He likes to make snakes.

Cameron is his favorite.

Always begging to help me in the kitchen. We made muffins together when he was sick and he absolutely loved it.

He's a very silly guy and has such a fun personality.

More of his silly personality! Turkey hat + Violet's shoes.

His school pic is the cutest thing ever.

Watching Santa land in his helicopter.
