NYC with Haylie

Cameron gifted me the best present ever for Christmas: a surprise trip to NYC with my friend Haylie! I ended up having a really extreme/weird bout of anxiety/insomnia about a month leading up to the trip, which made it hard for me to be as excited as I normally would have been. I was really nervous for the trip, which isn't like me. But it actually ended up going as well as it could have gone. I love NYC! And it was so nice to hang out with Haylie. Except--she ended up getting pretty sick so she couldn't be with me for a day of the trip. And then her brother tragically passed away while we were on the trip. So it wasn't the best trip for her. But we had a great time up until that all happened!

We walked the Highline and explored Chelsea and West Village.

We went to see Dear Evan Hansen, one of my favorites.

I saw Hadestown for the first time and LOVED it!

I ended up getting a last minute solo visit to see The Music Man the weekend it opened. With Hugh Jackman! It was incredible.

A lovely Sunday morning at the Met. I've always loved Degas.
