Spring Break in Florida + Disney World + Universal!

We spent spring break in Florida with Greg and Kathy! We stayed just under a week and did a couple days in Disneyland (Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios) and did a day in Universal too. We also did a beach day/gator boat ride day. Cameron and I came home exhausted (Davis was wild on this trip), but we think the kids had a blast. :)

This sums up the flight there. It was really delayed. I don't think we got to our house til 2 or 3 AM Florida time. Also, Davis threw up everywhere in the car ride between the airport and the house we rented, so Cameron and I got to clean out the car and do laundry once we got there.

Another shot from the day we traveled there. The car rental place was a LONG walk from where we landed.

Violet loved her pluto room! I should have taken a picture of the boys' pirate room. The house was...okay. It was definitely in a scarier area than we realized when we booked it, ha ha.

Our first day there we recovered with a pool day! It was so fun.

Mickey lover

We made it to Disney World! Day 1 was at Magic Kingdom.

Max had to take a shot here with Greg because they have some Winnie the Pooh history. Last year, Max said to Greg, "Grandpa, did you used to like Winnie the Pooh when you were younger?" Greg said he did. Then Max said, "Yeah, that makes sense cause you kinda look like him." Extremely funny except I think it kind of offended Greg, ha ha.

We had a fancy lunch reservation somewhere! I don't remember where.

A surprise mini princess parade! (They don't do full parades during covid.)

We went to Universal the next day! We'd never been before so we had fun just exploring. Greg and Kathy were nice enough to stay back with Davis, which made the day easier for us.

Our first visit to Harry Potter Land!

I think this is right before I got SOAKED on the Popeye Ride. So soaked I had to wring out my clothes after in the bathroom. I think it was the highlight of the trip for Cameron.

They had a fun Dr. Seuss area.

This is from when I put granola bars in Max's shoes to get him into the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. He was barely too short. It totally worked! They wouldn't let him on before, but they let him on once I put them in! I think I scored some cool mom points with Max.

We ate at The Three Broomsticks, a fun pub. The atmosphere was amazing! I loved the frosted butterbeer.

We also went on lots of Jurassic Park themed rides.

We went to Cocoa Beach the next day for a break from the parks. It was so fun! Davis loves the beach.

This is my favorite picture of Davis.

We went on an airboat ride to look for gators! We had a blast--we saw way more gators than we did when Violet and I went in December.

Love this of Grandpa Greg and Violet.

One of the gators we saw! I think we saw 8 or 9?

My favorite of Andy.

This boys have talked about this moment a whole lot since this trip. It was a highlight for sure.

Our last full day we headed back to Disney World for Hollywood Studios! We'd never been, so it was fun to see it. We started off in Toy Story Land.

We took Greg and Kathy to Star Wars Land. Rain was projected for the day and while they were all in Smugglers Run, Davis and I got caught in an INSANE downpour. Like buckets were falling from the sky. It was insane. And from then on we were soaking wet. It was a bit of a bummer and made it hard to enjoy the rest of the day.

I love this of Max. It reminds me of Greg.

Disney Junior Dance Party that Violet loved.

I think this was Doc McStuffin's house?

Violet and I went to a Frozen show! It's not a play like the Disneyland one, but it was still really fun.

We ended the night with a character dinner at Hollywood & Vine.

The boys weren't as into getting pics with characters, so here are two of Violet.

Max was a fan of the ice cream dessert at the dinner.

The day we flew home!

As always, Max has some serious style. His vibe is definitely someone coming home from a Florida vacation.

The flights home were horrific. Honesty, so so so bad. Davis was just a disaster. At one point I was crying. One of those memories I'd rather forget. This marks the point we decided we'd not fly with Davis again until he was 4 (except for the California trip we already had booked at this point).
