Maui

We had the most incredible Maui trip and are officially Hawaii people. I've told Cameron I want to go every year and enjoyed this trip more than any family trip in this past. I think our family is at a great stage for travel now that Davis is 5, so that's definitely part of it!

The flight there was actually pretty rough. We sat on a plane in Salt Lake for 2 hours before they made us get off and get on a new plane. Also, Davis came down with a stomach bug as we sat there. But we eventually made it there!

First morning in Hawaii! We headed to breakfast before we went to church.

Poor Davis was quite sick for 3-4 days. I had to carry him everywhere for a few days. (Cameron had just had hip surgery.) I think he had the full blown flu.

Max was the king of strawberry frappaccinos and ordered six while we were there.

We went fishing one morning and didn't catch much. The captains were pretty grumpy too. But--my mom caught an octopus, which was super cool! I've told Cameron I think we need to retire from spending our savings on fruitless private fishing charters. ;)

We parents and Abby joined us on the trip and we were so glad! We had so much fun all together.

We saw this cool seal at the beach. Davis tried to throw a rock at it and a grumpy conservationist came over to reprimand him.

We found out the Allens were going to be right next to us in Maui the whole time we were there! So we met up with them a couple of times. How lucky to be at an incredible beach in Maui with your best friend.

Reesey and Davis are cute buddies too. They're in Mrs. Hurst's class together this year.

Davis is the king of facial expressions. And Abby is everyone's favorite.

I think this was from a dinner at Hula Grill? We loved walking to dinner on the Kaanapali path every night. Poor Davis just couldn't hang.

Walk down to the blow hole! Someone was selling the yummiest chocolates and banana bread at the top too.

Andy having a teen moment.

Andy spent lotssss of time tanning on this chair every day. Listening to rap in his airpods. He's in full blown teen mode these days.

Poor Davis boy was too sick to come with us, so he stayed with Grandma Jean and Grandpa Mark.

Grandpa Mark planned some beach games.

At this point of the trip Davis boy was still too sick to walk and had to be carried everywhere. Pretty hike in Iao Valley.

A stop in Paia

Second stop of the trip at Paia Fish Market

We had the funnest snorkeling trip! We saw sharks and lots and lots of turtles. Davis was very stubborn and wouldn't snorkel, but loved hanging out on the boat.

I was too cheap to pay for this photo, but I thought it was so cute.

We loved hanging out at the resort pools most afternoons.

Hula show at the resort

We did the prettiest Kapalua beach walk one morning.

Turtles!

Cameron and I loved The Fish Market for poke.

A turtle right at our hotel beach!

Love her selfies

Max and Abby

These two are the cutest buddies.

We went whale watching our last day and had the most spectacular experience--we saw so many whales!
