Gotta love boys |
Max on the stairs of separation at Ellis Island. He'd just learned about Ellis Island at school and taught all so many things. |
We headed to the 9/11 memorial pools and museum. Sad and heavy, but a good experience. |
If you ask the boys what their favorite part of the trip was they'll say it was the caffeinated drinks we let them have every day. :) |
A super yummy dinner at Tony's Di Napoli |
The boys' first intro to Times Square. I think they found it pretty overwhelming and terrifying. There were a few crazies that scared them they they had a lot of questions about. |
We saw Hamilton! A dream come true for this Hamilton lover. He was disappointed it wasn't the original cast, but otherwise loved it. :) |
The next day we started out at the Empire State Building. |
Then we headed to Brooklyn! Max and I were the only ones cool enough to ride the carousel. |
Brooklyn Market where Max scored these sweet shades. Max was determined to spend every dollar he had as quickly as possible. |
Walking back to Manhattan over the Brooklyn Bridge. |
Hadestown! I'd seen it earlier in the year and loved it, so I was excited for them to see it. |
The next day we tried to go to church, but it was stake conference or something so we were unsuccessful. Still, cool to see the building and the temple! |
We rode bikes through Central Park. |
We had a delicious brunch at The Smith. Max loves this pic. :) |
We walked through Central Park after and it was such a gorgeous, lovely day. |
More treasures Max found. |
We headed to Evensong at Saint Thomas Church. |
Lego Store, of course! |
Rockefeller Center |
An FAO Schwarz stop |
We headed to a cool jazz concert at the Lincoln Center at Dizzy's Club. It was cool! Maybe not our style (it was cowboy music fused with jazz), but still a cool experience. |
We had this painting up on our TV for a while last year. |
Max wanted to see Jackson Pollack. |
Serenading everyone at the M&M store. |
Max's turn |
We had the most wonderful time and had so much fun showing our boys one of our favorite cities! |
